What are the responsibilities and job description for the Transporter position at Highfields Inc?
About the Role:
As a Transporter for the Ingham Academy Program, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and timely transport of students to and from school. You will be responsible to adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations, and maintaining a clean and organized vehicle. Additionally, you will be expected to communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff, providing excellent customer service and representing Ingham Academy in a professional manner.
This position is intermittent; M-F 7:30 AM to 8:30 AM, 1 route at $26.25 per route. Possible subbing opportunities available for additional routes.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to pass a background check and drug test
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings and late afternoons
Preferred Qualifications:
- Chauffer's License (or ability to obtain. Highfields' will reimburse cost)
- Experience driving 15 passenger van or other large vehicles
- First Aid and CPR certification
- Experience working with children or in an educational setting
