Coyne Oral Surgery is seeking a skilled and committed Front Desk Assistant to join our team and assist us in delivering exceptional care to our patients. Our core belief is putting the patient’s needs first, and it underlies every aspect of our practice.
This is a hybrid role where the team member will work in all areas of the practice and eventually be cross trained in dental assisting.
Duties And Responsibilities

Duties And Responsibilities
- Greet patients as they arrive for their appointment.
- Answer phone calls promptly.
- Perform office administrative tasks.
- Schedule procedures for clinical visits.
- Enter patient’s insurance information in practice management software.
- Verify insurance coverage for new and existing patients and referrals.
- Calculate patient financial responsibilities based on insurance coverage.
- Flexible to work and be trained in all aspects of the office.
- Sterilize, maintain, and organize instruments and prepare treatment rooms for patients by following prescribed procedures and protocols.
- Take inventory to ensure enough supplies for surgery.
- Prepare patients for surgery.
- Pass Surgeon instruments and sterile supplies throughout operations.
- Recount surgical instruments and supplies at the end of the operations.
- Maintain an overall sterile environment throughout the surgery.
- Enter and complete patient chart notes and documentation.
- 1 years of Dental and/or Oral Surgery experinece preferred, but not required.
- Willingness to learn and be trained on all aspects of the office.
- Ability to be at work on time and ready to work each day.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience using computers for a variety of tasks.
- The ability to stay organized and detail oriented while working in a fast-paced environment.
