Description
We are seeking an experienced In-House Physician Recruiter with expertise in specialty physician and surgeon recruitment. This critical role focuses on sourcing top-tier talent for current practice openings at our Oral Surgery and Endodontic practices and future opportunities identified through succession planning. The recruiter will collaborate closely with operational leaders to align recruitment strategies with practice needs and ensure seamless candidate experiences.
This team member can work onsite in our Birmingham, AL office or remotely.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment Strategy and Execution
Source, screen, and schedule interviews for specialty dental physicians and surgeons, ensuring alignment with the needs of specific practices.
Coordinate site visits, facilitating meetings between candidates and practice physicians to highlight the opportunity and the team culture.
Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates to address current and future needs, proactively managing retirements and succession planning.
Candidate Sourcing and Marketing
Develop and maintain email lists of oral surgeons and endodontists nationwide for targeted outreach, ensuring strategic targeting while excluding unsuitable candidates as necessary.
Design and execute specialty-focused advertising campaigns that emphasize community and practice benefits (e.g., promoting sunny beaches for Florida locations, team highlights, and specialization opportunities).
Utilize social media platforms and direct mail, such as postcards, to engage and attract physicians in hard-to-fill locations.
Community and Industry Engagement
Represent the organization at relevant professional societies and events (e.g., AAOMS, AAE and local societies) to build relationships, expand networks, and access membership directories.
Maintain memberships in key industry groups to stay informed on trends and best practices in physician recruitment.
Collaboration and Coordination
Work closely with operational leaders to develop a deep understanding of practice needs, goals, and cultural fit for each position.
Facilitate smooth onboarding and transition processes for recruited physicians, ensuring a positive candidate and team experience.
Requirements
Proven experience in specialty physician / surgeon recruitment, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding.
Strong understanding of recruitment marketing strategies, including digital campaigns and direct mail efforts.
Familiarity with professional medical organizations and ability to leverage networks for sourcing candidates.
Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Proficiency with social media platforms and recruitment tools to drive candidate engagement.
