Duties And Responsibilities

Duties And Responsibilities
- Assist the Oral Surgeon during a variety of surgical procedures.
- Prepare treatment rooms for patients by following required procedures and protocols.
- Take dental x-rays of excellent, diagnostic quality.
- Review patient health history to ensure it is recorded accurately and completely.
- Serve as an infection control officer by following infection control protocol and sterilizing instruments and equipment.
- Help patients feel comfortable before, during and after surgical treatment.
- Provide patients with post-operative instructions for oral care following surgery or other oral treatment procedures.
- Record doctor notes and vital sign information during a surgical procedure or office consultation.
- Perform office management tasks that often require the use of a computer and practice software.
- Maintain patient confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential per HIPAA guidelines.
- 1 years of Surgical or Dental Assistant experience is preferred, but not required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience using computers for a variety of tasks.
- Detail oriented, punctual, and patient-care focused.
- Consistent professional appearance and attitude.
- Motivated to grow and learn.
