Overview
The Complex Director of Finance is responsible for providing consistent leadership in the financial area of the hotels by focusing on profitability; maintaining accurate and timely financial reporting; ensuring acceptable levels of internal control; ensuring compliance with all regulations and Highgate Hotels’ Standard Operating Procedures; and safeguarding owners / investors' assets.
Responsibilities
- Effectively manage and communicate cash flow related issues, including preparation of monthly financial statements.
- Monitor hotel revenues and expenses, ensuring accurate recording in accordance with established guidelines.
- Create annual budgets and monthly variance analysis, investigating variances and offering practical improvement methodologies.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory licenses, permits, leases, contracts, and operational taxes.
- Analyze financial data to assist management in maintaining financial objectives.
- Comply with Standard Accounting policies and procedures.
- Review and approve all balance sheet accounts and reconciliations.
- Establish and audit all internal financial controls.
- Complete all internal and external financial audits.
- Hire, train, supervise, and develop staff.
- Maintain compliance with Highgate Hotels’ standards.
- Prepare all financial reports according to requirements.
- Interact with Executive Committee members to ensure property operations are on track.
- Monitor compliance with report deadlines.
- Execute other special projects and responsibilities as assigned.
