Accounting Assistant
Full Time Hourly, Non-exempt

Reports to: Accounting and Regulatory Coordinator

Location: Asheville, NC (Remote/hybrid work options available)
Job Duties:
  • Accounts Payable-Coding and entry of vendor invoices; Scan and distribute invoices for approval; Manage billing email account; Process payments; Maintain vendor files
  • Purchase Order generation
  • Inventory receipt entry
  • Generate Accounts Receivable invoices as needed
  • Receive and deposit checks
  • Enter cash receipts
  • Employee expense report entry
  • Entry of month end inventory counts
  • Generate reports from accounting system as requested
  • Production data entry
  • Other office duties as assigned

Qualifications:
Education:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate or Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Experience:
  • One or more years prior accounting experience and basic understanding of accounting concepts and principles
  • Experience processing high volumes of Accounts Payable invoices
  • Inventory management experience preferred
Specific Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Proficiency in office software tools such as Microsoft Excel/Word/PowerPoint and Google Docs/Sheets
  • Experience with an accounting software (we use Microsoft Dynamics GP)
  • Comfortable using dual monitors
  • 10-key typing
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all data entry-related tasks
  • Impeccable analytical, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidential information
