Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Optometrist to join our team and provide exceptional eye care services to our patients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in optometry and be passionate about delivering high-quality eye care.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive eye examinations to assess vision and detect eye diseases
- Diagnose and treat visual problems, such as nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism
- Prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, and other visual aids
- Monitor patients for signs of ocular diseases or conditions
- Recommend appropriate patient follow-up and care options
- Educate patients on proper eye care practices
Requirements
- Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited optometry program; active state license and valid CPR certificate
- Familiarity with medical terminology related to optometry
- Proficiency in using optometric systems and equipment
- Knowledge of legal and ethical standards for the delivery of medical care
- Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards
- Knowledge of vital signs relevant to eye health
- Knowledge of current principles, methods and procedures for the delivery of medical evaluation, diagnosis and treatment in area of expertise
- Two-plus years of optometrist experience preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $140,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
