POSITION SUMMARY :
The Roofer is responsible for installing roofs and repairing existing roofs for properties. They will also help ensure roofs are installed and repaired safely, and guide our laborers as needed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Transport and load / unload roofing materials in truck
- Lay new roofing materials such as asphalt, wood, steel and plastics
- Inspect roofing for damage and perform any needed repairs
- Spray treatment chemicals on roofs and buildings to seal them from water and weather
- Clean rooftops by removing leaves, ice and other debris
- Install insulation materials underneath roofs
- Use hand tools such as hammers, electric staplers and electric spraying tools
