LMS Administrator / Instructional Technologist
Highland Community College is seeking an experienced LMS Administrator / Instructional Technologist to manage and enhance the Colleges academic technology systems. This role ensures the effective operation of the Learning Management System (LMS) and Video Management System (VMS) while providing exceptional user support, training, and technology integration to optimize the teaching and learning experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage LMS and VMS system accessibility, configuration, upgrades, and integrations to ensure seamless operation and security.
- Provide expert-level user support for faculty, staff, and students while developing training materials and documentation.
- Maintain servers, manage integrations and security protocols, and coordinate software updates.
- Assist with classroom instructional technology, including HyFlex room configurations.
- Maintain relationships with LMS and VMS vendors, oversee contracts, and configure third-party integrations and learning tools.
- Evaluate and implement new instructional technologies to improve learning effectiveness.
- Work closely with faculty and staff to ensure optimal use of academic technologies.
What Were Looking For:
- Bachelors degree in instructional technology, computer science, or a related field (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Experience in LMS and instructional technology administration.
- Proficiency with LMS and VMS platforms (Moodle and Panopto preferred).
- Experience with Linux scripting, system upgrades, and troubleshooting technical issues.
- Solid understanding of instructional technology and learning tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
- Must pass a criminal history background check.
