Description
- Direct the records and registration functions of the College and coordinate those functions with instructional and other areas of the College and interpret programs to personnel in those areas.
- Certify student qualifications for graduation, loan deferments, athletic eligibility and other items pertaining to their student records.
- Formulate and recommend college policy to the Vice President for Student Services through dialogue with faculty members and administrators.
- Plan and coordinate studies analyzing policies, organization, costs, staffing, and enrollment trends, and direct the effective preparation of reports, i.e. state billing reports, out-district billing reports, appropriate IPEDS reports, and other appropriate reports.
- Assist in planning and developing the installation of major changes in procedures, forms, and other matters under the jurisdiction of the Vice President for Student Services.
- Authorize and process all Veteran Educational Benefits.
- Serve on the Curriculum and Instruction Committee and the Satisfactory Academic Progress Committee.
- Work with technology staff to implement appropriate software components of Colleague (the College's networked reporting system) including the academic plan and other pertinent components.
- Assist in communicating various processes to students that will aid them in obtaining transcripts, dropping/adding courses, preparing for graduation, and other appropriate information.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred. Experience working in a college Registrar's office highly desirable.
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information, both orally and in writing, and respond to questions from managers, students, parents, employees, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, and percentages.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Must have good decision making ability.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have a high degree of computer literacy.
Other Skills and Abilities
Must be able to operate with a minimum of supervision. Must be service oriented and have a positive attitude toward students, faculty, administration, and community people who interact with the College. Ability to retain composure under pressure.

Salary : $60,000 - $65,000
