What are the responsibilities and job description for the Chemical Dependency Counselor Assistant (CDCA) position at Highland Community Learning Center?
Responsibilities:
- Conduct client intakes, screenings, and case management services.
- Facilitate group therapy sessions under supervision.
- Provide individual counseling and recovery support per OhioMHAS guidelines.
- Assist clients with developing treatment goals and coordinating community resources.
- Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation in the EHR system.
- Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
CDCA (Chemical Dependency Counselor Assistant) certification from OhioMHAS
Required.
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, or related field preferred.
Experience working with individuals with substance use disorders.
Knowledge of evidence-based practices such as Motivational Interviewing (MI) and
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
