- Key responsibilities include advising the Board of Supervisors on a range of matters, from solid waste removal to budgetary issues, as well as collaborating with constitutional officers and department heads.
- Develop and implement policies, ordinances, and other documents related to county operations.
- Review and negotiate contracts, easements, deeds, and leases on behalf of the county.
Requirements:
- Must be a current Virginia Bar member.
- At least five years of experience in local government law.
- Strong writing and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts in plain English.
- Prior experience in zoning matters is desirable.
- Ability to understand complex legal issues and write clear, concise memoranda.
