Front Desk and Office Support
Job Description
Front Desk Lead and Office Support will be responsible for a variety of tasks that will provide organization, safety and a friendly and competent first encounter for guests and members by completing the following:
- Must be able to report to work when scheduled
- Competent in using a computer for Word and Excel or Google Workspace
- Answer 95% of all phone calls, handle/direct calls
- Provide accurate referral information to seniors and the community
- Perform clerical duties, take memos, maintain files, and organize documents
- Enforce membership renewals to those who qualify
- Assist in preparing special events, meetings, records, correspondence, newsletters and fundraising events
- Manage and maintain files, records and sensitive information, such as invoices, bills paid and deposit slips
- Assist in collecting data with income and expense for reports for the Executive Director
- Maintain membership database and mailing labels
- Maintain and document donations for the purpose of correspondence, condolences and appreciation
- Ensure all appropriate paperwork is signed for the STRONGER program participants
- Oversee outgoing and incoming mail and packages
- Maintain the appearance and sanitation of the Front Desk area
- Greet and assure all guests and members are signed in to the center and are welcomed
- Intake income and prepare the daily deposit
- Handle all monies for fundraising sales
- Assist members with communication with FRS Transportation
Ability to:
- Applicant must have a friendly and polite demeanor. Must be able to communicate with older adults in an effective and respectful manner.
- Must be able to sit, stand and walk all within one working shift. Must be able to lift 5lbs. Must be able to endure standing, reading, walking, sitting and handling money within one shift.
Qualifications
- Excellent reading and writing skills
- Responsible, Reliable
- Ability to work alone and in a group
- Computer Skills in Word, Excel or Google Workspace
- Excellent communication and organization skills
- Clean background
Job Type: Part-Time. The position requires every Monday, Tuesday and Friday from 8:30
a.m. to 3:15 p.m. Also, 2-3 Saturdays per year and occasional extended hours are
also required.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $10.70 per hour
Expected hours: 17.5 per week
