Highland Forest Daycare and Early Learning Center is a play-based, nature-inspired, education preschool. We are located at 351 FM 646 RD N, Dickinson, TX.
Highland Forest Daycare and Early Learning Center is seeking a nurturing and attentive Infant Teacher to join our team. The Infant Teacher will be responsible for the daily care and instruction of infants ages 6 weeks - 18 months old.
The ideal candidate should have a passion for caring for infants, ensuring their safety, engaging in developmentally appropriate activities, and maintaining a clean, safe environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide attentive and high-quality care to infants, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Follow daily schedules and routines.
- Engage in play-based learning activities that support infants's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
- Maintain a clean and organized environment, including sanitizing toys and equipment.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their infant's daily activities, development, and any concerns that may arise.
- Follow all daycare policies and procedures, including health and safety protocols.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must pass a background check
- Proven experience working with children in a daycare, church, after school program, nursery, or other childcare setting is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of child development and appropriate caregiving practices.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hiring).
- Ability to lift, bend, kneel, and stoop as needed.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with parents and coworkers.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in Early Childhood Education or a related field is a plus.
- CDA is preferred but not required
