Job Title: Preschool Teacher
Location: Dickinson, Texas
Job Type: Full Time (32-38 hours/week)
Shift: Must be available between 7:45 AM - 4:30 PM Monday-Friday
Highland Forest Daycare and Early Learning Center is a nature-inspired educational preschool. We are located at 351 FM 646 RD N, Dickinson, TX.
Highland Forest Daycare and Early Learning Center is seeking a nurturing and attentive Preschool Teacher to join our daycare team. The teacher will be responsible for the daily care and instruction of children ages 3-4 years old. The ideal candidate should have a passion for teaching young children, ensuring their safety, engaging in developmentally appropriate activities, and maintaining a clean, safe environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide attentive and high-quality care to children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Create daily lesson plans to meet learning objectives
- Follow daily schedules and routines.
- Engage in hands on learning activities that support children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
- Assist with toilet training when appropriate.
- Maintain a clean and organized environment, including sanitizing toys and equipment.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's daily activities, development, and any concerns that may arise.
- Follow all daycare policies and procedures, including health and safety protocols.
Qualifications:
- MUST be at least 18 years old
- MUST pass a background check
- MUST have high school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in Early Childhood Education or a related field is a plus.
Knowledge of child development and appropriate caregiving practices.
- CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Proven experience working with children in a daycare, church, after school program, nursery, or other childcare setting is preferred
- Ability to lift, bend, kneel, and stoop as needed.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with parents and coworkers.
- CDA is preferred but not required
