REPORTS TO: Chief Executive Officer
SUMMARY: The Human Resources Specialist is responsible for overseeing the HR department and ensuring the effective management of all HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, and employee development. This role plays a key part in aligning HR strategies with organizational goals.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives that align with the organization’s goals.
- Oversee the recruitment process, including job postings, candidate selection, and onboarding.
- Manage employee relations by addressing grievances, mediating disputes, and implementing disciplinary procedures.
- Administer employee benefits programs, ensuring compliance and employee satisfaction.
- Ensure that the organization complies with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Lead the performance management process, including setting objectives, conducting evaluations, and facilitating employee development.
- Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures, ensuring they are communicated and applied consistently.
- Oversee the training and development programs to enhance employee skills and career growth.
- Monitor HR metrics, such as turnover rates and employee satisfaction, and implement strategies to improve them.
- Manage the HR budget, including forecasting and monitoring expenditures.
- Serve as a strategic partner to senior management, providing advice on HR-related matters.
- Supervise HR staff and business office staff and provide ongoing guidance and support.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Chief Executive Officer.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in HR, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) is preferred.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if necessary.
