Highland Hills Medical Center is looking for an IT Technician. This is a full-time position, day shifts with on-call hours as needed. This person will be employed by HHMC and report to the Tate County IT Director under a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Tate County. Salary is 35K to 45K depending on experience and includes benefits.
Job Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive IT support and maintenance services for both Highland Hills Medical Center and Tate County.

Ensure that all computer hardware and related technology are maintained and functional across both entities.

Possess a strong technical background in computer hardware and software, demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical staff in both environments.
Requirements:
-
Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university in computer science, information technology or a closely related field

Two (2) years of information technology work experience performing duties such as providing hardware and software training; identifying and resolving hardware and software problems; participating in a help desk environment; and /or implementing a variety of applications
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Knowledge of operating systems including Microsoft Windows, and specialized medical software.

Effectively manage time and workflow to meet operational deadlines.

Troubleshoot and repair devices quickly and efficiently to minimize any negative impact on patient care.

Possess excellent organizational skills to maintain accurate inventory of devices while under repair and ensure a well-organized pool of components and tools.

Establish and maintain professional working relationships with staff.

Exhibit strong communication skills to ensure clear, effective support.

Adhere to HIPAA and healthcare IT security compliance requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Effective performance of this position includes, but is not limited to:

Installing, configuring, and maintaining computer hardware, software, including desktops, laptops, printers, monitors, and other peripherals.

Responding to technical support requests from end users while resolving issues in a timely manner.

Performing routine technology maintenance tasks, such as cleaning devices and updating software to ensure optimal system performance.

Identifying and documenting technical issues to submit warranty or maintenance requests with contracted vendors.

Collaborating with other IT staff to identify and address network and security issues that could impact operations.

Supporting the setup and maintenance of clinical and administrative workstations, including configuring and deploying software and hardware to meet specific departmental needs.
