Job Description:
Transport patients to Inpatient units, discharge as needed; transfer to other floor if admitted or to the front of the hospital for discharge; transports specimens to Lab and moves equipment from unit to unit as needed. Distribute patient meals and nourishments based on the current patient care order, assists patients as needed in opening of containers, condiment packages, etc; removes dietary trays from patient rooms, provides ice/water to patients as needed with direction from the assigned nurse. Observes patient unit floors for accidental spillage, and attends to the spillage in a timely fashion. Completes repair requests and enter work orders for repairs of any equipment identified as broken, cleaning duties ie; bed rails over bed tables, chairs, I.V. poles, etc. Cleans medication rooms, and utility rooms daily (cleaning to include wiping of all counters/surfaces and equipment). Empties trash on unit; empties linen hampers on unit, and inserts new bags.

- transporting of patients as directed by the Nursing Staff.
