Job Title : Level 1 Maintenance Technician Job Summary : We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Level 1 Maintenance Technician to join our team. This entry-level role is responsible for assisting in the upkeep, repair, and maintenance of equipment, machinery, and facility operations. The ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, and general maintenance tasks and be eager to learn and grow within the company. Key Responsibilities : Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on machinery, equipment, and facility systems. Assist in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues. Conduct scheduled inspections and preventive maintenance tasks. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment. Follow safety guidelines and company policies to prevent workplace hazards. Work closely with senior technicians and supervisors to learn advanced maintenance procedures. Document maintenance activities and report issues to the appropriate personnel. Assist with general building maintenance, including lighting, HVAC filters, and minor structural repairs. Respond to maintenance requests promptly to minimize downtime. Qualifications & Requirements : High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or vocational training is a plus. Basic knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and maintenance procedures. Ability to follow instructions, read technical manuals, and learn new skills quickly. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and work in varying conditions (hot, cold, noisy, etc.). Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends or overtime as needed. Preferred Qualifications : Previous experience in maintenance, repair, or a related field is a plus but not required. Basic knowledge of electrical, mechanical, or plumbing systems.
