Job Summary:
As a Dietary Aide, you will assist in the preparation, serving, and clean-up of meals for our residents. Your role is essential in ensuring that residents receive meals that are both nutritious and satisfying, while also adhering to any dietary restrictions. This position requires a strong attention to detail, the ability to work efficiently, and a commitment to providing excellent service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of meals according to the menu and resident dietary needs.
- Serve meals to residents in a courteous and timely manner.
- Ensure proper portion control and presentation of meals.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and dining areas.
- Wash dishes, utensils, and equipment, and ensure proper storage.
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards at all times.
- Monitor food supplies and report any shortages or issues to the Dietary Manager.
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of the dining areas for meals.
- Interact with residents in a friendly and respectful manner, addressing any dietary concerns or preferences.
- Support the dietary team in other tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a food service or healthcare setting preferred, but not required.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate and respectful attitude towards residents.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
