About the Role:
The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) supports the Director of Nursing in leading the clinical team to ensure the highest level of care and compliance. This role involves a blend of clinical expertise, team mentorship, and operational oversight.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning, organizing, and directing the day-to-day functions of the nursing department.
- Help ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations, including infection control and resident rights.
- Participate in care planning meetings, resident assessments, and quality assurance initiatives.
- Monitor staff performance, provide coaching, and help develop ongoing staff education and training.
- Coordinate and oversee staff scheduling to ensure adequate coverage and continuity of care.
- Participate in investigations, incident reporting, and follow-up documentation as needed.
- Serve as a resource and clinical leader on the floor when needed, promoting best practices in resident care.
- Foster positive relationships with residents, families, physicians, and regulatory agencies.
- Support in developing and implementing policies and procedures that reflect current standards of nursing practice.
Qualifications:
- Active RN or LPN license in Nevada
- RN preferred, but experienced LPNs are welcome to apply
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience in long-term care preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Commitment to resident-centered care and team development
