What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facilities Maintenance position at Highland Medical Center?
Job Purpose: The Facilities Maintenance team member is responsible for maintaining systems and infrastructure of the facility, including the inside and outside of the building. The goal is to ensure that the building and grounds are safe, look good, and are in working order.
Qualifications:
Education and training
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Previous maintenance or environmental services experience preferred
Licenses/Certifications Required
- BLS certification required
Position Responsibilities:
- Demonstrates general ability to perform minor service and repair of the facility’s doors and hardware, plumbing, light bulbs and small electrical equipment, ceiling tile, flood control, fire alarm, auxiliary equipment and hazardous material handling.
- Manage exterior grounds of all HMC properties.
- Share in the responsibility of housekeeping functions for the entire facility.
- Support the essential functions of cleaning, organization and maintenance of HMC to optimize the patient experience.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all HMC business operations and activities.
- Work safely with equipment, supplies and materials following OSHA standards.
- Completion of detailed duties list as assigned by Chief Operations Officer.
- Accurately document completion of duties on daily, weekly, monthly, and annual checklists.
- Support management and organization of storage space.
- Assist in setting up and breaking down for special events as directed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Technical/Computer Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and iOS operating systems.
