This is an internship role for a Bilingual School Social Worker located on-site at Highland Park High School in Highland Park, IL. The Bilingual School Social Worker will be responsible for providing social-emotional support to students, conducting assessments, collaborating with teachers and families, and facilitating group counseling sessions in both English and Spanish.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish
- Experience in providing social-emotional support to students
- Ability to conduct assessments and develop intervention plans
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of counseling techniques and best practices
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team
- Enrolled in or completed a Master's degree in Social Work or related field
- Previous experience in a school setting is a plus
