As a Lapidary Apprentice, you will embark on an exciting and educational journey in the realm of gemstone crafting. Under the guidance of our seasoned Lapidary Specialists, you will learn the techniques and skills required to shape, cut, and polish gemstones into breathtaking creations. OBJECTIVES
- Assistant Lapidary Specialist: Collaborate with experienced artisans to observe and understand the lapidary process from raw gemstone material to finished masterpieces.
- Live Sale Assistant Moderator: Assist in curating rocks for each live sale event and assist the moderators in showcasing rocks and crystals during live sale events.
- Operate Lapidary Equipment: Learn to use saws, drills, grinders, and polishing machines under supervision to shape and finish gemstones.
- Machine Maintenance and Repairs: Regular servicing of equipment, routine checks, repair work, and replacement of worn or nonfunctional parts.
- Gemstone Assessment: Develop an eye for assessing gemstone quality, clarity, and identifying flaws or inclusions.
- Materials Handling: Sorting, cleaning, proper storing and handling of gemstone materials with care, ensuring their safety and security.
- Inventory Management: Receives, stores and stocks materials, equipment, supplies or merchandise. Compiles stock records.
- Photo and Video Filming: Create photo and video assets for use in promotions, educational videos, campaigns, website updates, and social media marketing.
- Product Cataloging: Assist in reviewing and editing product descriptions
- Maintaining Clean Workspace: Ensure a clean and organized work environment to maintain a safe and efficient workspace.
- Adherence to Safety Guidelines: Follow safety protocols and guidelines for the proper use of lapidary equipment and tools.
- Continuous Learning: Attend training sessions and workshops to improve lapidary skills and stay updated with industry trends.
- Assist in Quality Control: Help in the evaluation and inspection of finished gemstones to ensure they meet our high-quality standards.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Experience: 1 to 2 years or equivalent experience.
