Job Description Title: Director of Belong Disability Ministry
This is a full time position that provides a salary commensurate with experience and outstanding benefits in a truth and grace filled work environment.
Overview of this position: This person will oversee and lead all program ministries of Belong Ministry, including Spotlight Academy of Performing Arts, Chance’s Café, Day Programs, Night OWLS, The Walk and will be responsible for overseeing the general operations of Belong Ministry.

FLSA Status: Exempt
Campus: Mockingbird
Working Hours: This is a Full-time position working 36 hours a week.
Anticipated Schedule: The schedule is generally, Monday-Friday 8:30-5 pm and 3.5 hours on Saturday or Sunday. This is dependent on which Spotlight program is running.
During certain times of the year additional hours may be necessary to meet the demands of the job. All church staff will be asked to support and serve for religious holidays and worship services including Christmas Eve and Easter.
Job Responsibilities and Duties:
- Lead weekly team meetings
- Attend team leads meetings and other church-wide initiative planning meetings
- Network with other faith-based and non-faith-based disability groups
- Oversee and maintain all current Belong partnerships
- Provide leadership and vision for overall Belong Disability Ministry
- Serve as liaison between HPUMC leadership and Belong Disability Ministry
- Assemble, plan, and lead 4 Belong Advisory Committee Meetings/year
- Manage Belong Disability Ministry program coordinators, including day class coordinator, volunteer coordinator, respite coordinator, Christian education coordinator, Spotlight coordinator and Chance’s Café manager
- Provide day-to-day oversight, guidance, and evaluation of ministry programs, including oversight of current operating plans within Belong
- Create models of operation for any new program offerings
- Evaluate the operations of Belong Disability Ministry as a whole
- Assess current models in all programs on a regular basis and adjust and modify where needed
- Set strategic ministry goals
- Maintain and establish partnerships with like-minded programs that will enhance the use and programs offered at the Tolleson Family Activity Center
- Plan and facilitate team retreats
- Work with Chief of Staff to support in specific grant requests and donor relationships, as appropriate and needed
- Co-facilitate Universal Volunteer Training with Belong Ministry Team
- Build relationships within the DFW community to expand reach of Belong
- Begin involvement in South Dallas community centers and churches
- Serve as Program Coordinator for Night OWLS Family Camp
- Support Resource & Respite Coordinator in planning and execution of the family camp weekend
- Attend church-wide initiative planning meetings
- Serve as Belong representative for church community building initiatives
- Regular check ins with the Pastor of the Feast to ensure ministry planning and alignment
- Represent Belong at IDD conferences nationally
- Prepare and deliver presentations about our program
- Administrative duties

Education and Desired Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Prior experience working with individuals with disabilities
- Prior experience in performing and/ or visual arts
- Strong organizational skills
- Flexibility
- Helpful to be bilingual
