Our large, hundred and ten bed skilled nursing facility is in need of a Director of Maintenance to ensure we maintain a clean, home like environment in good working repair that is esthetically pleasing, for those we are entrusted to care for. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of and capacity to perform minor repairs on multiple systems in the facility, be comfortable soliciting resources when needing to hire for services, and have or possess the ability to learn the state and federal regulations for the entities whom the plant position is beholden to (OSHA, Life Safety, Colorado Department of Public Health, etc.). An applicant is needed with the willingness to work alongside staff, provide coaching toward success for the maintenance assistant, be computer savvy and have the ability to be on call after business hours.

QUALIFICATIONS
Highschool Diploma or equivalency.
Experience in electrical, plumbing, construction, etc. preferred
Minimum of 2 years work experience in long-term care preferred.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervises Environmental Services personnel and daily work in assigned areas throughout center in a way that balances budget, staffing, and resolves interdepartmental personnel issues. Processes and maintains records of accounts payable, supplies received, equipment maintenance.
Executes the company’s preventative maintenance program, and keeps facility within regulatory compliance
Collaborates with healthcare workers and department leaders to ensure infection prevention and other related environmental requests.
Ensures resident and staff safety
Ensures proper functioning of power generation, time clock, exhaust fans, water fountains, toilets and drains; balances scales and checks operation of elevators regularly.
Conducts fire drills; Checks fire extinguishers, smoke detectors and lubricates all fire doors.
Identifies and recommends independent contractors for repairs or maintenance work that is not able to be completed by maintenance crew.
Assist in developing and updating departmental procedures and policies.
Supervising the day-to-day maintenance functions of assigned personnel.
Manages the and prepares rooms for discharged or new residents.
Maintains accurate records of maintenance and prioritizes and completes projects in a timely manner.
Conducts fire drills, smoke detectors, and lubricates all fire doors.
Other responsibilities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice.
