Preschool Lead Teacher
The Preschool Lead Teacher is a team player who actively supports the ministry vision of developing families who follow Jesus together. This role has been designed to give our Preschool students a consistent teaching presence in the classroom on Sunday mornings, while providing the right tone and engaging environment for learning about Jesus Christ. The Lead Teacher will also be responsible for building relationships with kids and guiding their faith journey.
Reports To : Nursery and Serving Coordinator
FLSA Status : Non-exempt
Campus : Mockingbird
Working Hours : Part-time position that will work up to 6 hours a week. Possibility of working additional hours (optional), throughout the week.
Anticipated Schedule : Sundays 8 : 30-12 : 30 pm (up to 2 hours of preparation time during the week)
- Sunday responsibilities : Welcome children and their families into your classroom, greet volunteers and work in coordination with them, help kids feel safe and known, and share the Bible lesson in an engaging way for children
- Holiday responsibilities : All church staff may be asked to support and serve for religious holidays and worship services including Christmas Eve and Easter.
