Pharmacist in Charge (PIC)

Highland Pharmacy is seeking a Pharmacist in Charge. Lead our experienced team in Glasgow, KY! Salary will be commensurate with qualifications.

Our pharmacy hours are 8 am - 6 pm M-F and 8 am - 1 pm Sat.

4 x 10 hours shifts. Every 3rd Saturday.

Duties:

• Manage all aspects of an independent, retail pharmacy.
• Dispense medications accurately and efficiently while ensuring compliance with all regulations and standards.
• Drive pharmacy initiatives and contribute to special projects.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments to evaluate medication needs and potential interactions.
• Execute therapeutic optimization programs.
• Provide medication therapy management to improve patient outcomes.
• Educate patients on proper medication usage, potential side effects, and adherence strategies.
• Maintain accurate records of prescriptions, patient interactions, and medication inventories.
• Administer vaccinations, other injections, and point of care testing.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives related to pharmacy services and patient care.
• Manage staff pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and daily workflow.

Requirements

• Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited institution.
• Active Kentucky pharmacist license.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Team player
• Experience in retail pharmacy preferred.
• Patient advocate mentality.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in medication dispensing and documentation.
