Position Overview

The Associate Advisor role is intended to provide meaningful support to Advisors in client relationships and hone your ability to strategically lead clients as you progress towards becoming an Advisor. The Associate Advisors is the first point of contact on client communications, and the technical expert for the goals and needs of the client. They are responsible for implementing the overall service offering for their assigned clients, which includes managing all the financial planning subject areas in partnership with Advisors. High quality deliverables, great presentations, accuracy, and timely implementation are all essential aspects of this role.
A highly successful Associate Advisor is currently expected to expertly facilitate the overall execution and organization of 40-60 client households.
Job Functions:
- Create financial modeling scenarios and formulate recommendations and narratives that match clients’ goals and assist in decision making.
- Proactively develop tax, estate, insurance, portfolio, and cash flow analyses that align with clients’ objectives.
- Demonstrated knowledge and ability to serve higher-complexity families
- Lead material aspects of client meetings, presenting analysis in verbal and/or in written form and take ownership of resulting action items.
- Create meaningful connection with clients, building relationship and seeking to understand what matters to them most.
- Explain portfolio performance and help clients understand how it relates to their goals.
- Ensure client portfolios are invested in line with targets.
- Create and maintain Executive Summary reports that gives clients a high-level summary of where all aspects of their financial lives stand and what needs attention.
- Manage workflow to ensure client deadlines are met, which includes recording and assigning next actions to supporting Associates in CRM.
- Work with client’s other advisors (attorney, CPA, etc.) to facilitate planning projects and monitor progress.
- Provide thought leadership on ways to improve processes, systems, and overall functioning of the Client Service Team
- Train and mentor Associates.
- Continued personal and professional development.
- Other projects and duties as may be required
Requirements:
- Proficient in all financial planning subject areas
- Professional designation (CFP®, CFA, CPA)
- Series 65 (or equivalent) or ability to obtain upon hire
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 3 years of wealth management experience, with demonstrated capability in the key job functions.

Salary : $100,000 - $130,000
