Benefits :Qualifications : 1) Bachelor’s degree or higher from a regionally accredited college or university in the United States (or an equivalent foreign degree), and completion of a program in nutrition or dietetics with the appropriate national accreditation; 2) Completion of at least 900 hours of dietetics under the direct supervision of a registered dietitian or nutrition professional; 3) Must be certified as a dietitian or nutrition professional in NY State once requirements met
Educational Requirements : Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree with emphasis in nutrition preferred from an accredited program.
Experience Required : One to three years’ direct care experience with one to two years’ experience in long- term care.
Professional Licensure and Certification Required : Certification in dietetics-nutrition in New York State, or successful completion of the Registered Dietitian examination offered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration, or Certified Nutrition Specialist exam offered by the Certification Board for Nutrition Specialists are acceptable.
