Job Summary:
As a Server at Highland Restaurant & Bar, you will be the face of our restaurant, providing exceptional service to ensure our guests have a memorable dining experience. Your role involves taking orders, delivering food and beverages promptly and accurately, and creating a welcoming atmosphere that embodies our commitment to quality and hospitality.

Responsibilities:

Customer Service:

• Greet guests warmly and promptly upon arrival.
• Provide detailed information on menus, including specials, ingredients, and dietary options.
• Answer questions about food preparation and suggest menu items based on customer preferences.
• Ensure guest satisfaction by checking in periodically and promptly addressing any concerns.

Order Management:

• Accurately take food and beverage orders and input them into the POS system.
• Relay orders to the kitchen and bar staff clearly and efficiently.
• Deliver orders to tables in a timely and professional manner.

Team Collaboration:

• Work collaboratively with other servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.
• Assist in the setup, cleaning, and breakdown of the dining area, including resetting tables and restocking supplies.
• Help maintain a clean and organized workspace, including following sanitation and food safety guidelines.

Upselling and Promotion:

• Recommend daily specials, drinks, and desserts to enhance the guest experience and increase sales.
• Inform guests of promotions, events, and special offerings at Highland Restaurant & Bar.

Handling Payments:

• Process guest payments accurately, including cash, credit card, and gift cards.
• Provide accurate change and receipts while maintaining accountability for cash handling.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a server or in the hospitality industry is required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to providing excellent service.
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds as needed.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
