Key Responsibilities :
Financial Reporting and General Ledger :
Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and daily treasury activities
Prepare, review, and post journal entries to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
Conduct monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
Perform account reconciliations for assigned accounts, identifying discrepancies and making necessary adjustments.
Prepare financial statements and reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Inventory Management :
Track inventory movements and maintain accurate inventory records for raw materials and finished goods.
Reconcile variances from monthly and year-end physical inventory counts and prepare inventory valuation reports.
Work with operations to implement inventory controls and reduce discrepancies.
Budgeting and Forecasting :
Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecast by providing cost data, trend analysis and financial insights.
Support the Finance team in preparing financial projections for capital expenditures, labor, materials and overhead costs.
Compliance and Audits :
Ensure adherence to GAAP and company policies for financial reporting and compliance.
Assist with internal and external audits by providing required documentation and explanations.
Maintain organized records of all financial transactions and related supporting documents.
Process Improvement :
Analyze current accounting processes, identify areas for improvement, and recommend solutions to increase efficiency.
Support with implementations and integrations of new systems and software as needed.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance data accuracy and streamline reporting.
Financial Analysis and Reporting :
Provide management with insights into financial performance, including key metrics, variances, and trend analyses.
Develop ad hoc analysis and reports to support decision-making for production and cost control
Requirements : Qualifications :
Education : Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience : Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a manufacturing environment.
Skills :
Strong understanding of GAAP and cost accounting principles.
Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems (experience with Microsoft Dynamics or similar preferred).
Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and financial modeling.
Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Team player with a positive attitude and flexible to adapt to changing needs / priorities.
Ability to meet deadlines and work extended hours during peak periods (month-end, year-end close, etc.).
