Housekeeping Utility
Department/Division: Housekeeping
Reports To: Executive Housekeeper
Supervises Directly: Housekeeping Utility, Laundry
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt (Hourly)
Purpose for the Position:
To perform a combination of tasks to maintain club premises in a clean and orderly manner, thereby contributing to a pleasant, positive member/guest experience.
Essential Responsibilities:
1. Moves and arranges furniture.
2. Steams linens as required.
3. Hangs draperies as required.
4. Dusts furniture and equipment.
5. Polishes metalwork and furniture.
6. Collects soiled linens for laundering, receive and store linen supplies in laundry room.
7. Cleans bathrooms and replenishes with supplies.
8. Replenishes locker room with supplies, towels etc. as required.
9. Supplies cleaning cart with appropriate supplies for shift.
10. May assist in building fires in fireplace and deliver wood to fireplace.
11. May remove debris, clean driveways and parking lot areas.
12. Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, elevators, stairways, and locker rooms and other work areas.
13. Sweeps, scrubs, waxes, and polishes floors, using brooms and mops and powered scrubbing and waxing machines.
14. Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies, using vacuum cleaner.
15. Washes walls, ceiling, and woodwork.
16. Washes windows, door panels, and sills.
17. Empties wastebaskets and empties and cleans ashtrays.
18. Transports trash and waste to disposal area.
19. Replaces light bulbs and report light bulbs that need replaced.
20. Abides by the regulations set forth by the material safety data sheets when using chemicals.

22. Knows and complies with all company policies and procedures pertaining to this position and its duties.
23. Reports to work for scheduled shift, on time and in uniform in accordance with company policy.
24. Takes the initiative to greet member/guests in a friendly and courteous manner.
25. Report items in need of repair to maintenance department.
26. Operate all laundry room equipment in a safe manner.
27. Know the policies on washing, drying, ironing and folding all linen types.
28. Performs other related duties as required.
Educational and Qualifications:
High school diploma
One year housekeeping experience in a commercial environment
Skills and Abilities:
¨ Use hands to lift, carry, or pull objects that may be heavy. Lift with legs not back.
¨ Understand simple instructions.
¨ Learn simple procedures and techniques.
¨ Perform routine work or the same task over and over again.
Physical Demands:

Ability to exert up to 25-100 pounds of force occasionally
Ability to frequently lift 10-50 lbs., carry, push, or pull, or otherwise move objects
Ability to frequently stand for brief periods of time
Ability to walk, stoop, bend and reach above head frequently
Ability to work with cleaning chemicals and supplies
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: From $14.00 per hour
