Highland Tank operates 7 manufacturing facilities in the United States. We are currently looking for a Product Specialist for our Friedens, PA location. The Product Specialist provides support and expertise to the team for all aspects of one product line. The position requires skills in customer relations, technical knowledge and expertise, general mechanical skills, and purchasing/sales related tasks for one product line. The role requires travel for both sales and technical purposes, and often involves outdoor field work. The product specialist will need to learn a wide variety of products and various accessories along with their operation/uses.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Write specifications for the engineering community
- Oversee quoting and quoting processes for the product line
- Product sourcing
- Collaborate with multiple teams
- Engage in research for product development purposes
- Travel for sales purposes
- Presentation skills for large groups of people
- Field service and technical support
- Availability to travel on short notice
- Adhere to safety protocols
Qualifications:
- 2-3 years’ experience in a direct customer-service related field
- Basic mechanical/technical skills
- Problem-solving skills
- Basic technical skills
- Critical thinking
- Attention to detail
- Utilize a team mentality - Work with multiple offices and partner companies on a daily basis.
Working Conditions:
This position will require travel via car or air, outdoor work in a variety of climates and conditions, and working in an office setting.
Physical Requirements:
This position requires the ability to lift heavy items, climb ladders, work outside in cold or hot weather, rain, snow, etc. Standing on concrete or steel for long hours is sometimes required. This position should be able to operate and safely use power tools or other mechanical tools.
