Job Summary
Under the direction of the Attendance Technician Lead and the Director of Attendance and Admissions, the Attendance Specialist will compile, post, maintain attendance records and related reports on a regular basis. They will be communicating with principals and counselors on a needed basis regarding attendance related matters. Attendance Specialist will be responsible for the accuracy of attendance accounting information data, and reports performing related work as required.

Requirements / Qualifications

3. Proof of Highest Level of Education
. The position requires a High School diploma or equivalent.
. Two years of general clerical or record-keeping experience or one year of the same in a school office.
Experience/Minimum Qualifications:
Must possess the ability to:
. Record keeping, office organization, and clerical skills
. Knowledge of and skill in using common computer-aided office productivity software and specialized applications for data entry of student information
. A basic knowledge of the technical aspects of attendance recording
. Ability to communicate with a diverse community
. A basic understanding of applicable school policies and procedures and State Education Codes related to attendance accounting.
. Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others
. Meet schedules and timelines
. Provide proof of the possession of a valid California driver's license
Skills/Qualifications:
Must possess an understanding of:
. Interpersonal skills using tact, patience, and courtesy
. Operation of a computer and assigned software
. Ethical conduct, integrity, and confidentiality applicable to attendance policies and procedures
. A comprehensive understanding of attendance accounting standards and practices
