Job Summary
Under direction of the Director of Workforce Solutions, or their appointed designee, the CTE Teacher will instruct in one or more core academic or work based subject areas and provide related services to students. Candidates must have a strong desire to work with students to help them achieve their academic, personal, and professional goals. Position requires standards-based lesson plans and curriculum planning with a team; participation in site, and professional development meetings; developing and implementing lessons; keeping accurate records and grades; and, attendance at some after-school meetings/events.

Requirements / Qualifications
The position requires the following items to be attached to the application, or the application will not be considered:

3. All unofficial transcripts from higher-level education and community colleges
4. A copy of passing CBEST results (If applicable)
5, Bachelor’s Degree Required
6, Proof of Teaching Credential or CTC document number
. Any combination of education and/or experience working in Adult Education related activities or an education setting is preferred; previous industry experience is desirable.
. High school diploma
. Three years of work experience directly related to the industry sector, defined as 1,000 hours
. Possess or qualify for a Career Technical Education (CTE) teaching credential, or Adult Education Elementary and Secondary Basic Skills teaching credential, or a Multiple Subject credential, or any Single Subject credential
. The ability to communicate with a diverse group of people on a daily basis
. Possession of a valid California driver's license
