What are the responsibilities and job description for the Occupational Therapist position at Highlands Medical Center?
POSITION SUMMARY:
Provide purposeful activity with individuals who are limited by physical injury, illness, psychosocial dysfunction, development or learning disabilities, or the aging process in order to maximize independence, prevent disability and maintain health.
EDUCATION/ SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
Hold a minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited educational program. Have completed a minimum of 6 months of full time field work. No prior experience is required.
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
Current Alabama Licensure is required. Must complete 15 CEUs per year for license renewal which is renewed every two years.
