Highlands Oncology began in 1996 with three physicians and a desire to change the face of oncology care in our community. Job Summary: The Insurance & patient refund specialist is responsible for reviewing account credit balances and processing patient and insurance refund requests when appropriate.
Job Duties / Responsibilities:
- Verify accuracy of insurance and patient credits.
- Refund true patient credits in a timely manner.
- Utilizing the practice management system.
- Scan refund/recoupment letters into ONBASE in a timely manner.
- Maintains patient and clinic confidentiality and adheres to clinical standards, policies, & procedures.
- Maintain a professional relationship with physician teams.
- Maintain pleasant/helpful attitude towards patients and staff.
- Perform all related duties as required by Revenue Cycle Manager(s), Business Office Director, CFO, and CEO.
