What are the responsibilities and job description for the Automotive Blueprint Estimator position at Highlands Ranch Collision Center?
Highlands Ranch Certified Collision Center is an auto body repair facility located in Littleton Colorado. We are currently seeking a full time Blueprint Estimator to join our team. The Blueprint Estimator is responsible for ensuring that all vehicles entering our shop have an accurate and updated repair plan throughout production. The Blueprint Estimator is responsible for ensuring the vehicle repair process is executed properly from initial estimate, through the repair process and the return to customer. This is a “back of house” position that works closely with technicians at the time of disassembly and throughout the repair process. Qualifications:
- 1 - 3 years of body shop CSM or estimator experience required.
- Valid state driver’s license required.
- Proficiency with CCC required.
- Ability to make objective and subjective decisions on repair process, parts, and timing.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Must be detail oriented and organized
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced work environment
- Continued commitment to learning and maintaining industry knowledge.
- Willingness to adopt new software and technology as needed.
Responsibilities
- The Blueprint Estimator is responsible for ensuring that all vehicles have a complete and accurate repair plan before and during production.
- Responsible for evaluating and writing estimates with the technician, examining damaged vehicles and estimating repair costs during tear down and throughout the repair process.
- Work with insurance companies to manage claims and ensure repair costs are properly addressed.
- Prepare pre-repair plans by accurately entering vehicle information, taking quality pictures, and documenting damages with proper damage and insurance notations.
- Create accurate estimates and supplements alongside technicians as vehicles are repaired.
- Work in a “back of house” environment in conjunction with technicians through disassembly and repair.
- Ensure all repairs are completed accurately emphasizing the quality and standards of HRCC.
- Continuous focus on safety, adhering to all safety policies, rules, and training.
- Move cars, parts carts, supplies and other duties around the shop as needed for efficient production.
