We’re currently hiring a Customer Service Rep. to support the Highlands Ranch community. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, detail-oriented, and eager to jump in and provide exceptional service with professionalism and a positive attitude.
📝 What You'll Be Doing:
📞 Answering and managing a high volume of calls using a multi-line phone system
📅 Scheduling and coordinating service appointments
🤝 Providing outstanding support to both internal and external customers
📊 Managing spreadsheets and databases with accuracy
📬 Preparing mailings and handling day-to-day office tasks
🖨️ Operating standard office equipment
✨ Tackling additional tasks or special projects as needed

30 hours/week from start date through June 6
40 hours/week from June 9 through August 15
Monday through Friday

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performs routine clerical and administrative work in answering phones, receiving the public, providing customer assistance and data processing.
- Answers incoming calls and routes callers or provides information as required.
- Schedules appointments and other administrative and clerical duties.
- Operates radios as needed and assists in radio communications; operates base radio as required.
- Receives the public and answers questions; responds to inquiries from employees, citizens and others and refers, when necessary, to appropriate staff.
- Assists in the procurement of department materials and supplies.
- Operates listed office machines as required.
- Administration of purchase order/requisition process, as requested
- Receives and distributes incoming mail, processes outgoing mail.
- Composes, types and edits a variety of correspondence, reports, memoranda, and other material requiring judgment as to content, accuracy, and completeness.
- Inputs data to standard office and department forms; makes simple postings to accounts; compiles data for various reports.
- Acts as custodian of departmental documents and records. Establishes and maintains filing systems, control records and indexes using moderate independent judgment.
- Maintains inventories and orders office supplies and materials, maintains departmental personnel records.
- Other duties and special assignments which may be outside the primary areas of employment.
- Assists other sections as needed to complete the goals of the organization.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Minimum age requirement: 18 years.
- Driver’s License and good driving record.
- Two (2) years of related experience; or
- Any equivalent combination of education and progressively responsible experience, with additional work experience substituting for the required education on a year for year basis.
NECESSARY KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Proficient with computers, electronic data processing systems, and modern office procedures; familiarity with basic accounting principles.
- Skilled in operating relevant tools and equipment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to interact effectively with the public.
- Capable of performing under pressure and handling stressful situations calmly.
- Able to understand and follow complex verbal and written instructions.
- Strong aptitude for mathematics.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently with sound judgment.
- Collaborative and respectful when working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and perspectives.
- Dependable in completing tasks with flexibility to adapt to shifting priorities and changing conditions.
TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT
General office equipment including but not limited to computer equipment, data and web-based software, telephone system, intercom, 2-way radio systems, fax machine, copy machine, printer, scanner, postage machine, coffee machine, etc.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED
Works under the supervision of the Office Manager of water and wastewater operations. When the Office Manager is out of the office the Director of Operations assumes the Office Manager role.

WORK SCHEDULE
This is a seasonal position working 30 hours per week from starting date through June 6. Then 40 hours per week from June 9 through August 15, Monday through Friday.
May be required to report during non-scheduled hours. Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of the job.
