Job Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Resident Care Associate to join our team. As a Resident Care Associate, you will provide assistance and support to residents in an assisted living facility. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the well-being and comfort of our residents.
Duties:
- Provide direct care to residents, including assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Administer medications according to prescribed schedules and document accurately
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding as needed
- Support residents with memory care needs, including engaging in activities that promote cognitive stimulation
- Assist with transferring and lifting residents using proper body mechanics and equipment
- Maintain a clean and organized living environment for residents
- Monitor resident behavior and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate supervisor
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest level of care for residents
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience working with individuals in an assisted living or memory care setting is preferred
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures is a plus
- Ability to work effectively with individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral challenges
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- Compassionate and patient demeanor
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
