Housekeeping Cleaner

Job Description: Clean guest rooms and/or suites in a timely and thorough manner to ensure total guest satisfaction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Clean and service assigned rooms or areas according to established standards and procedures including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning, and sanitizing bathrooms, removing trash, etc. May include cleaning of the kitchen area, room refrigerator, coffee maker, cups, glasses, silverware, etc.
• Restocks used amenities such as shampoo, lotions, cotton balls, stationery, and pens.
• Keep all hallways, public areas and closets clean, neat and vacuumed.
• Restock housekeeping cleaning cart for next day's use.
• Report all missing items from room (i.e., irons/boards, hair dryers, etc.) to Housekeeping Supervisor/Manager.
• Report any maintenance repairs immediately to Housekeeping Supervisor/Manager.
• Handle items for “Lost and Found” according to the standards.
• Comply with all Work Rules and Standards of Conduct.
• Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.
• Other housekeeping duties as assigned.

Education/Expereince

• High school education is not required.
• Experience is preferred but not required.

Minimum Requirement

• Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time, up to 8 hours a day.
• Ability to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed accuracy, follow through, and work with minimum supervision.
• Ability to exert physical effort consistently with cleaning assigned rooms as per the hotel standards.
• Ability to grasp, bend, and stoop; push or pull heavy loads weighing up to 30 lbs.
• Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written, with all levels of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service oriented manner.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
