Job Description :
Our client is a high-end boutique general contracting firm based in Westchester, NY with most of their work and projects taking place in the city. They pride themselves on the ability to handle and take on projects across the entire tri-state area.
We are looking for an estimator to join the team and either be based in Westchester or NYC. The ideal candidate will also have some prior experience within project management, be proficient in reading architectural plans and have experience with site supervision.
The requirements of the role are :
- Proven experience estimating luxury residential projects, with a strong understanding of high-quality materials, finishes, and craftsmanship.
- Expertise in preparing accurate cost estimates, analyzing bids, and negotiating with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing.
- Familiarity with industry-standard estimating software (such as Procore, Bluebeam, or PlanSwift) and the ability to perform detailed quantity takeoffs and cost breakdowns.
- Ability to collaborate with project managers, architects, and clients, ensuring clarity in budgets, timelines, and project scope while maintaining attention to detail in cost projections.
