SUMMARY: The Future Success Specialist plays a critical role in fulfilling our mission of preparing all students for postsecondary and career success. This position will be campus-based conducting direct service with secondary students. The Future Success Specialist will provide support to scholars and their families, execute post-secondary exploration and career workshops/programs, engage with community partners, and districtwide college and career exploration events and programs.
Highline Public Schools will be filling three Future Success Specialist positions to support the implementation of a GEAR UP grant in collaboration with the University of Washington. GEAR UP is a federally funded grant that supports career and college access activities for cohorts of middle and high school students and families. The GEAR UP Future Success Specialist role will begin working with cohorts of middle school students and families and transition to high school along with students and families. This role is grant funded through September 2031.
