What are the responsibilities and job description for the Locator position at Highline Services LLC?

As an Outside Plant Construction – Locator, you will utilize your skills to:
- Operator a locating receiver to support directional drill operator.

Operate a combination of horizontal directional bore, ride-on plow, mini excavator in collaboration with the locator to successfully install fiber optic systems.
- Conduit, cable, hand holes, pedestals, etc.
- Read and understand utility locates and above ground utility indicators to ensure the safety of the crew and a high level of productivity.
- Read and understand construction prints and drawings to ensure proper installation of fiber optic network with regards to permitting standards and quality.
- Understand and adhere to safe work zone practices within public or private rights-of-way, in accordance with NESC code, 811 guidelines, and all permitting entities.
- Transport heavy equipment to and from the job site each day
- Troubleshoot problems as they arise in the field.
- Safety is a value you live by.
- You have at least 2 years of utility directional drilling operating experience with Ditchwitch or Vermeer machines, as well as using HDD locating systems such as DigiTrak or Subsite.
- You have at least 2 years of ride-on plow and mini excavator operating experience.
- You are experienced with operating and performing light maintenance of a Ditchwitch or Vermeer drill.
- You have a track record of completing work with a high level of quality.
- Must have valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record.

- Must be able to pass pre-employment screenings (drug and background).
