Outside Sales Representative, Aftermarket (West Coast)
Summary
The Outside Sales Representative responsibilities are to conduct face to face sales calls with an exceptional Highline Warren customer service experience. This person is to manage day to day sales activities for a defined geographical territory with focus on Automotive & Jobbers.
This individual must be located on the West Coast.
Essential Functions
- Daily travel to customers for face-to-face meetings, engaging in consultative and solutions-oriented selling in the designated territory 5 days a week.
- Prospect for new business to increase sales and market share.
- Establish and meet sales goals and budgets.
- Maintain a current opportunity list and follow-up on all inquiries and leads.
- Know and understand your competition and their policies, pricing structure, distribution, strengths, and weaknesses.
- Supply necessary credit information on opportunities and existing customers as directed and perform collection follow-up calls when asked.
- Determine customer needs and tailor appropriate service requirements.
- Aggressively sell the breadth of our offering and stay abreast of new products.
- Process customer orders, requests, returns and product changeovers, as necessary.
- Provide market information for pricing, product trends and competitive information.
- Provide store resets and participate in customer events.
- Manage customer credit levels with our internal credit department.
- Keep current and maintain customer files, pricing and notes in ERP.
- Continually evaluate processes, make recommendations, and implement improvements to optimize efficiency.
- Establish and document standard operating procedures and ensure the team is adhering to them.
- Drive continuous improvement efforts to reduce costs or increase productivity without reducing effectiveness.
- Adhere to established company values, practices, policies, and procedures at all times. Follow and support compliance with all applicable safety rules, laws, regulations, and standards.
- Demonstrate regular and punctual attendance at the assigned work location.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Demonstrate proficient computer experience; Microsoft Office, (strong Word and Excel skills).
- Ability to possess a wide range of creativity and latitude is required. Relies on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals and essential job duties.
- Be a team player with good communication skills.
- Understand written instruction and complete appropriate documentation as directed.
- Use a logical approach to troubleshooting issues and prioritizing Customer Service needs.

Minimum Experience, Education, and Certifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Bachelors Degree.
- 3 years of experience in a Field Sales position in the Automotive Industry.
