What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bar Manager position at Highly Likely?
Highly Likely Highland Park is looking for a talented Bar Manager. We seek someone with Bartending experience, managing experience a plus, but not required. The ideal candidate is highly organized and likes a tightly structured restaurant that is profitable while maintaining integrity. We do not micro-manage supervisors, rather we aim to hire people more talented then ourselves and point them in the right direction and let them do their thing. Communication is key, along with truly enjoying hospitality and serving others.
A Bar Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of a bar including:
- Manage the bar staff and schedule
- Manage the service floor in addition to the bar, working regular floor shifts as the only manager on duty
- Cocktail, wine and beer menu
- Staff Trainings
- Menu costing and pricing
- Ordering
- Hire/Fire bar staff and ensure exceptional customer service
- Work with vendors to secure best pricing and build and maintain long lasting partnerships with suppliers
- Make sure the bar is clean, and structures are in place to maximize profits, employee and guest satisfaction
- Coach and develop bartenders, providing timely and professional feedback on a regular basis
