**Job Summary**
We are seeking a qualified LPN to join our team in the Emergency Department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse.
- Assist with the preparation of equipment and assist the clinical provider during treatment, examination, and testing of patients.
- Collect assessment data, prepare patient for examination and document clinical information on patient record.
- Schedule procedures and obtain authorizations as necessary.
- Perform basic medical tasks such as administering medications, blood and tissue collection and/or other laboratory specimens.
Requirements:
- High School/GED diploma.
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) OR Current multi-state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
- CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
- Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
- Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate.
- Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1 year of experience in healthcare.
- PALS or ACLS certification.
- State approved IV course certification.
- Knowledge of EPIC documentation and assessment process.
