Nurse Tech-Med / Surg PRN-7457-12290
Description
Under the supervision of an RN, performs basic patient care activities.
Reports to : Director Med Surg and Women's
Performs basic patient care activities as delegated and supervised by an RN, including monitoring vital signs,and recording intake and output. Assists patients with tending to personal care and activities of daily living, including but not limited to bathing, grooming, eating, and ambulation. Reports abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staff. Assists with keeping patient rooms and common areas stocked, clean and orderly.
Qualifications
Minimum Education
High school diploma or equivalent required Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Required Skills
American Heart Association or American Red Cross Certifications : Basic Life Support (BLS) required upon hire or must obtain within 90 days of employment. Minimum Work Experience
Six months to one year experience in medical-surgical setting or other acute care setting preferred; if no experience, job training will be provided. Students entering into the Nursing Field will be considered.
