Bartender Responsibilities:
- · Welcoming customers, reading and listening to people to determine beverage preferences, making recommendations, and taking drink orders.
- · Planning drink menus and informing customers about new beverages and specials.
- · Selecting and mixing ingredients, garnishing glasses, and serving beverages to customers.
- · Prepping fruit and other garnishes and stocking other bar snacks.
- · Taking inventory and ordering supplies to ensure bar and tables are well-stocked.
- · Adhering to all food safety and quality regulations.
- · Maintaining a clean work and dining area by removing trash, cleaning tables, and washing glasses, utensils, and equipment.
- · Developing new cocktail recipes.
- · Printing nightly report for business office.
Why You Are Qualified:
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.
- Strong organization and time management skills.
- Must be able to make recommendations and take drink orders.
- At least 1 year of related work experience required, preferably in restaurant or food service environment.
- Must have the ability to read and write, follow written and oral instructions, and communicate effectively in English.
- On a daily basis, throughout the workday: Must be capable of sitting, standing, walking, climbing stairs, reaching, turning, bending, stooping, crouching and kneeling, reaching over the head, grasping with both hands, and fine manipulation. Must physically be able to lift up to 25 pounds unassisted on a regular basis.
